Advances in the Different Synthetic Routes of Fluorinated Hydrazines

open access: yesThe Chemical Record, EarlyView.
This review highlights the various routes to the preparation of fluorinated hydrazines, thereby promoting the exploration of innovative methods for the synthesis of new N‐fluorinated hydrazines. Their synthesis mainly involves synthetic routes such as organometallic, organocatalytic, and photocatalytic.

Thorncliffe Formation: A proglacial to subglacial lacustrine basin sequence, Greater Toronto Region, Canada

open access: yesBoreas, EarlyView.
Map of Lower sediment (LS) thickness is a surrogate for the distribution of Thorncliffe Formation (TF) and ~75% of TF thickness from the slope of Niagara Escarpment east to Brighton. Inset images show the LS sequence at the Don Valleys brickyards (DVBY) and undeformed TF sand and gravel (~15 m) below Newmarket Till (NT) at sites L and Co.

Salt glands in exo‐recretohalophytes: Development, physiological functions, and prospects for improving crop salt tolerance

open access: yesJournal of Integrative Plant Biology, EarlyView.
This review examines salt glands in exo‐recretohalophytes, in which epidermal stem cells differentiate into unicellular, bicellular, or multicellular salt glands. Salt ions are transported to the leaves via the transpiration stream and enter salt glands through symplastic and apoplastic pathways. Finally, salt glands actively secrete salt ions from the

FcMAPK4‐phosphorylated FcNOR activates FcERF5 to promote fig fruit softening through activation of FcPG12 expression

open access: yesJournal of Integrative Plant Biology, EarlyView.
In Ficus carica fruit, the MAP kinase FcMAPK4 phosphorylates the NAC transcription factor FcNOR, which cooperates with ethylene response factor FcERF5 to activate the pectin degradation gene FcPG12, thereby promoting rapid softening of fig fruit. ABSTRACT Rapid softening of fig (Ficus carica L.) fruit during ripening leads to extremely short shelf life;

The Tree of Chivalry and the Black Lady: Juana of Castile's 1496 Joyous Entry into Brussels☆

open access: yesRenaissance Studies, EarlyView.
Abstract Kupferstichkabinett MS 78D5 (Staatliche Museen Berlin) presents an iconographic account of the Joyous Entry of Juana of Castile into Brussels on 9 December 1496. In this article, we newly identify a rare visual record of a civic contribution to a tournament within the manuscript.

Exploring the Reactivity of Perphenylheptasilanes: Synthesis of Terminally Functionalized Derivatives

open access: yesZeitschrift für anorganische und allgemeine Chemie, Volume 652, Issue 7, 6 May 2026.
Different methods to prepare 1,7‐disubstituted tetradecaphenylheptasilanes are explored. The triflated heptasilane TfO‐(SiPh2)7‐OTf reacts with alkali metal halides to produce the 1,7‐dihalogenides X‐(SiPh2)7‐X (X = F, Cl, Br, I). The 1,7‐dihydrogen derivative H‐(SiPh2)7‐H is obtained with LiAlH4 or (i‐Bu)2AlH as reducing agents.
