Effect of molybdenum disulfide on properties of lithium greases
Chemistry and Technology of Fuels and Oils, 19671. The addition of from 1 to 30% MoS2 to TsIATIM-201 lithium grease had practically no effect on yield value at 20–80°C, viscosity at −50 to +50°C, mechanical stability, or heat hardening. MoS2 does not have any appreciable thickening capability when it is added to the grease either cold or with remelting. 2.

Processing and Formulation of Lithium Lubricating Greases
AIP Conference Proceedings, 2006The effects that soap concentration, base oil viscosity and additives exert on the rheology of lubricating greases have been studied. Also, changes in both microstructure and rheology of lithium lubricating greases during their manufacturing process have been evaluated.

Thermoanalytical investigations on lithium stearate, lithium 12-hydroxystearate and related greases
Journal of Thermal Analysis, 1985TG and DSC techniques proved useful in the study of the thermal properties of lithium stearate, lithium 12-hydroxystearate and related greases. Under an inert atmosphere, the stearates decompose into the oxalate prior to the formation of the carbonate.

The mechanism of pigment grease stabilization by lithium adipate
Chemistry and Technology of Fuels and Oils, 19681. It has been established that the direction and kinetics of property changes in greases at high temperatures are the result of the interaction of effects of two processes which exert the opposing effects of polymerizing the dispersion medium and decreasing the particle concentration of the disperse phase. 2.

TiO2 and CeO2 nanoparticles as lithium complex grease additives for enhanced lubricity
Industrial Lubrication and TribologyPurpose This paper aims to improve the tribological properties of lithium complex greases using nanoparticles to investigate the tribological behavior of single additives (nano-TiO2 or nano-CeO2) and composite additives (nano-TiO2–CeO2) in lithium ...
