Foraminiferal biozones and their relationship to the lithostratigraphy of the Chalk Group of southern England [PDF]
Foraminiferal biostratigraphy has been used extensively in the re-survey of the Chalk Group of southern England since the 1990s and a biozonation based on 21 zones and numerous subzones has been developed.

Geophysical investigation of the Santa Marta impact structure—Piauí State, Brazil
Abstract The Santa Marta impact structure in northeastern Brazil, recognized as a partially preserved complex crater, was investigated through an integrated geophysical study employing magnetotelluric (MT) and gravity methods. Our research provides constraints on the crater's subsurface architecture.

A fluid flow perspective on the diagenesis of Te Aute limestones
Pliocene cool-water, bioclastic Te Aute limestones in East Coast Basin, New Zealand, accumulated either in shelfal shoal areas or about structurally shallow growth fold structures in the tectonically active accretionary forearc prism.

Stratigraphical studies on Lake Iidesjärvi sediments. Part 1. Environmental changes and palaeolimnological development [PDF]
Palaeolimnological results for the small eutrophicated lake Iidesjärvi in the town of Tampere (S. Finland) show that it has been limnologically more or less productive since its isolation from the Ancylus Lake of the Baltic Sea.

New bio‐sequence framework for the Eocene–Oligocene transition in Zagros. Geochemical data validate basin depth control on SB1 vs. SB2 boundaries. SEM‐EDS analyses confirm subaerial exposure versus continuous deposition. Sensitivity analysis quantifies sub‐10% uncertainty in stratigraphic interpretations. Resolves the Pyrenean orogeny's variable impact

ABSTRACT The second half of the Allerød interstadial in the Netherlands is characterised by pine forest. Excavated trunks of 165 pine trees at Leusden‐Den Treek in the central Netherlands (LETR16) were dated by dendrochronology and radiocarbon. Two chronologically separated pine forest phases occurred during relatively warm periods as recorded in ...
