Data-driven design of structured sparse feedback controllers
This article proposes a data-driven design method of structured sparse feedback controllers. In situations where the system model is unavailable but the measurement data are available, we address the problem of finding a feedback controller which ...

Terrigenous material supply to the Peruvian central continental shelf (Pisco, 14° S) during the last 1000 years: paleoclimatic implications [PDF]
In the eastern Pacific, lithogenic input to the ocean responds to variations in the atmospheric and oceanic system and their teleconnections over different timescales.

A LMI-based observer for induction motor [PDF]
A LMI-based approach is proposed to design a quadratically stable flux observer for an induction motor. The resulting observer is a parametrically varying dynamic system that insures a L 2 -gain attenuation between the exogenous input and the flux estimation error of the augmented plant.

ABSTRACT This paper presents novel results regarding the input–output finite‐time stability (IO‐FTS) of nonlinear quadratic systems (NLQSs), a class of dynamical models particularly useful for the study of robotic systems, biochemical reaction networks, and other processes of interest to the applied sciences.

Relaxations LMI pour la stabilit'e robuste de syst`emes lin'eaires `a commande satur'ee [PDF]
A method is proposed for studying robust stability of uncertain linear systems subject to input saturation. It hinges upon successive LMI relaxations and therefore can readily be implemented using widely available numerical tools. I.

Controller design wfth trajectory sensitivity minimization using LMI [PDF]
To design a controller with block-diagonal structure for trajectory sensitivity minimization, we propose a method based on LMI. In order to reduce the trajectory sensitivity, linear quadratic regulator theory is adopted, and this is solved using LMI ...

ABSTRACT Designing safe control laws for nonlinear systems is challenging, especially when ensuring stability under actuator saturation and state constraints. A key aspect is embedding controllers with a Region of Attraction (ROA), which defines initial conditions guaranteeing convergence to a stable equilibrium point (EP).

PI output feedback control of differential linear repetitive processes [PDF]
Repetitive processes are characterized by a series of sweeps, termed passes, through a set of dynamics defined over a finite duration known as the pass length.
