A new approach on the stability of fractional singular systems with time-varying delay

open access: yesMANAS: Journal of Engineering, 2020
In this research article, we discussed the asymptotic stability of fractional singular systems with Riemann–Liouville (RL) derivative and constructed some sufficient conditions.

Recurving tropical cyclones in the western North Pacific are stronger than non‐recurving ones: Causes and implications

open access: yesQuarterly Journal of the Royal Meteorological Society, EarlyView.
This study investigates the statistical characteristics of recurving tropical cyclones (TCs) over the western North Pacific (WNP). We find that recurving TCs are, on average, 38% stronger than non‐recurving TCs, owing to longer ocean exposure, fewer landfalls, and passage through warmer, more favorable thermal environments.

An opportunistic indoors positioning scheme based on estimated positions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
The localization requirements for mobile nodes in wireless (sensor) networks are increasing. However, most research works are based on range measurements between nodes which are often oversensitive to the measurement error.

A genome-wide association study using a Vietnamese landrace panel of rice (Oryza sativa) reveals new QTLs controlling panicle morphological traits

open access: yesBMC Plant Biology, 2018
Context Yield improvement is an important issue for rice breeding. Panicle architecture is one of the key components of rice yield and exhibits a large diversity.

Optimal Gain Selection for the Arbitrary‐Order Homogeneous Differentiator

open access: yesInternational Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Differentiation of noisy signals is a relevant and challenging task. Widespread approaches are the linear high‐gain observer acting as a differentiator and Levant's robust exact differentiator with a discontinuous right‐hand side. We consider the family of arbitrary‐order homogeneous differentiators, which includes these special cases.

String‐Stable Platooning Control of Connected Automated Vehicles Under Non‐Uniform Stochastic Communication Delays

open access: yesInternational Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper is concerned with the platooning control problem of connected automated vehicles (CAVs) under non‐uniform stochastic vehicle‐to‐vehicle (V2V) communication delays. Most existing relevant studies assume uniform or deterministic or slowly varying delays, or design platoon controllers based on worst‐case delay bounds, resulting in ...

Partial Pole Placement in LMI Region [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Control Science and Engineering, 2014
A new approach for pole placement of single-input system is proposed in this paper. Noncritical closed loop poles can be placed arbitrarily in a specified convex region when dominant poles are fixed in anticipant locations. The convex region is expressed in the form of linear matrix inequality (LMI), with which the partial pole placement problem can be

Control Design Based on Generalized Lur'e Lyapunov Functions for Sampled‐Data Lur'e Systems

open access: yesInternational Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This article addresses the synthesis of stabilizing control laws for aperiodic sampled‐data Lur'e systems. Based on a hybrid system representation of the closed‐loop system and a timer‐dependent generalized Lur'e–Postnikov type Lyapunov function, stabilization conditions are obtained by separating decision variables with the application of two
