Relaxing LMI domination matricially
Given linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) L 1 and L 2 in the same number of variables it is natural to ask: (Q 1 ) 1) does one dominate the other, that is, does L 1 (X) ≽ 0 imply L 2 (X) ≽ 0? 2) are they mutually dominant, that is, do they have the same solution set? Such problems can be NP-hard.

Application of Facial Reduction to $H_\infty$ State Feedback Control Problem
One often encounters numerical difficulties in solving linear matrix inequality (LMI) problems obtained from $H_\infty$ control problems. We discuss the reason from the viewpoint of optimization, and provide necessary and sufficient conditions for LMI ...

Abstract The linear‐quadratic regulator (LQR) problem of optimal control of an uncertain discrete‐time linear system (DTLS) is revisited in this paper from the perspective of Tikhonov regularization. We show that an optimally chosen regularization parameter reduces, compared to the classical LQR, the values of a scalar error function, as well as the ...

Modos de apropiación territorial en Belice: una genealogía institucional de la propiedad
En Belice, la propiedad de la tierra se instituye en contextos coloniales marcados por una gran precariedad jurídica que desemboca en una gran complejidad político-territorial.

Free Analysis, Convexity and LMI Domains [PDF]
This paper concerns free analytic maps on noncommutative domains. These maps are free analogs of classical holomorphic functions in several complex variables, and are defined in terms of noncommuting variables amongst which there are no relations - they are free variables.

Financial Toxicity Associated with Biological Medicines: A Scoping Review
Financial toxicity, defined as the economic burden experienced by patients due to medication and other healthcare costs and their consequences, such as material, psychosocial and behavioral effects, represents a significant concern for individuals receiving biological medicines.

A new approach on the stability of fractional singular systems with time-varying delay
In this research article, we discussed the asymptotic stability of fractional singular systems with Riemann–Liouville (RL) derivative and constructed some sufficient conditions.

In this study, the effect of day/night factor on the detection performance of the FY4A lightning mapping imager (LMI) is evaluated using the Bayesian theorem, and by comparing it to the measurements made by a ground-based low-frequency magnetic field ...
