Load Frequency Control of an Isolated Micro Grid Using Fuzzy Adaptive Model Predictive Control

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2017
This paper presents a fuzzy adaptive model predictive approach for load frequency control of an isolated micro grid. A generalized state space model of a typical isolated micro grid having controllable and uncontrollable generating power sources is ...

Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 increases metastatic potential and aggressiveness in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aldehyde dehydrogenase 1A1 (ALDH1A1) is a cancer stem cell marker in several malignancies. We established a novel epithelial cell line from rectal adenocarcinoma with unique overexpression of this enzyme. Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 led to increased invasive capacity and metastatic potential, the inhibition of proliferation activity, and ultimately ...

A generalized approach

Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Analisis Harmonisa Electronic Load Control (Elc) Pada Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Mikro Hidro (Pltmh) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Electronic Load Control (ELC) is a common unit used in Micro Hydro Power Plants with synchronous generator to keep network frequency at its nominal. The ELC regulates the power of dummy load as the power flowing to load (consumers) varies.

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy gain controller for Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) load frequency control

open access: yesSystems and Soft Computing
Load Frequency Control (LFC) has gained more importance with the introduction of deregulated Renewable Energy Sources (RES) connectivity with the grid.

RIPK4 function interferes with melanoma cell adhesion and metastasis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
RIPK4 promotes melanoma growth and spread. RIPK4 levels increase as skin lesions progress to melanoma. CRISPR/Cas9‐mediated deletion of RIPK4 causes melanoma cells to form less compact spheroids, reduces their migratory and invasive abilities and limits tumour growth and dissemination in mouse models.

Innovative Load Frequency Control: Integrating Adaptive Backstepping and Disturbance Observers

open access: yesIEEE Access
Load frequency control (LFC) in large interconnected power systems is crucial for balancing electricity supply and demand while minimizing frequency deviations.

COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.
