Probabilistic analysis of load flow equations
Archiv für Elektrotechnik, 1986The paper presents a new method of load flow calculation in which the known node powers are treated as random variables. The unknown node voltages are assumed to be normally distributed and therefore only the average values and the second order moments should be calculated.

Numerical Analysis of Flow Loading on Bluff Bodies
Structural Engineering International, 2005Today, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) offers to engineers a promising way to understand, to test and to design large bridges. Several attempts have been made during the past ten years to introduce such techniques. The purpose of this paper is to present comparative results between numerical simulations and experimental measurements of the fluid ...

Grid disturbance analysis with Modular Load Flow
2016 IEEE 6th International Conference on Power Systems (ICPS), 2016Iterative load flow (ILF) is ill-suited for analyzing conditions immediately preceding blackouts since reactive power capacities of most generators are most likely exhausted. This makes choice of PV buses and specifying their voltages difficult. Improper voltage specifications at PV buses may result in non-convergence of ILF. We propose a non-iterative

Distributed Fast Decoupled Load Flow Analysis
2008 Joint International Conference on Power System Technology and IEEE Power India Conference, 2008This paper presents an implementable distributed load flow calculation method for online analysis, for power systems having multiple, geographically separated areas. The system is partitioned into multiple areas, with each area having its own control centre.

A technique for load flow analysis on a power system
Proceedings of the 24th Intersociety Energy Conversion Engineering Conference, 2003The decomposition-coordination technique along with the Newton-Raphson method is used to perform load flow analysis. The technique allows tasks to be performed in parallel by partitioning the electric power system. The solution procedure requires the formulation of a set of local problems to be run in parallel.

Load flow analysis for power systems with renewables
2020The techniques of load flow analysis are of utmost importance to analyse, plan and design the power system. Power flow analysis defines the power system parameters at normal and abnormal operating conditions through the calculation of current or power flow in the lines of the interconnected transmission network, voltages at all nodes of the power ...

Load Flow Analysis of a 15Mva Injection Substation
Journal of the Nigerian Association of Mathematical Physics, 2016This study presents the load flow analysis of Otovwodo 33/11kV injection substation, Nigeria. It is an obvious fact that the planning, design and operation of power systems require load flow calculations to analyze the steady state of the system under various operating conditions, and equipment configuration. This load flow helps to determine the state
