Improved Area Interchange Control for Newton's Method Load Flows
IEEE Transactions on Power Apparatus and Systems, 1969-The standard area interchange control method for load flow inhibits the convergence of whatever numerical technique is being used. A simple revision of the system of equations being solved allows Newton's method to calculate load flows with area control but with the same convergence rate as studies in which area control is not included.
