Local Frequency Modulation Strategy Based on Controllable Load Characteristic Identification of Multi-Port Power Router

open access: yesEnergies, 2023
The scarcity of inertial resources in the new AC–DC hybrid grids makes the grid frequency prone to fluctuation. In this paper, the relationship between the grid-side and load-side characteristics of the power router is constructed.

Analysis and Design of Outphasing Transmitter Using Class-E Power Amplifiers With Shunt Capacitances and Shunt Filters

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
In this paper, a novel outphasing power amplifier (PA) based on class-E amplifiers with shunt capacitances and shunt filters is proposed. The new design provides high drain efficiency for both peak and back-off power levels.

Better Executive Functions Are Associated With More Efficient Cognitive Pain Modulation in Older Adults: An fMRI Study

open access: yesFrontiers in Aging Neuroscience, 2022
Growing evidence suggests that aging is associated with less efficient endogenous pain modulation as demonstrated by reduced conditioned pain modulation, and that these changes may be mediated by differences in frontal functioning.

The Load-Modulated Linearizer: A Technique for Intermodulation Cancellation in PA Systems

open access: yes2022 IEEE BiCMOS and Compound Semiconductor Integrated Circuits and Technology Symposium (BCICTS), 2022
A novel application utilizing the load-modulated balanced amplifier (LMBA) principle to actively absorb individual out-of-band intermodulation components at the output of a power amplifier operating in high compression is presented. The system requires nearly the same amount of additional power as the IMD power it absorbs, making it very efficient.
