Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

Multifractals Competing with Solitons on Fibonacci Optical Lattice
We study the stationary states for the nonlinear Schr\"odinger equation on the Fibonacci lattice which is expected to be realized by Bose-Einstein condensates loaded into an optical lattice.

The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

Quantum transport of strongly interacting photons in a one-dimensional nonlinear waveguide [PDF]
We present a theoretical technique for solving the quantum transport problem of a few photons through a one-dimensional, strongly nonlinear waveguide.

We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Self-Trapping of Bose-Einstein Condensates in an Optical Lattice: the Effect of the System Dimension
In the present paper, we investigate the dynamics of a Bose-Einstein condensates (BEC) loaded into an deep optical lattice of 1D, 2D and 3D, both analytically and numerically.

Heavy-traffic analysis of k-limited polling systems [PDF]
In this paper we study a two-queue polling model with zero switch-over times and $k$-limited service (serve at most $k_i$ customers during one visit period to queue $i$, $i=1,2$) in each queue. The arrival processes at the two queues are Poisson, and the

In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.
