Zeitschrift für anorganische und allgemeine Chemie, EarlyView.New iridium‐containing bismuth subiodides based on cuboctahedral [IrBi6I12]3− clusters adopt chain‐like or rock‐salt‐related structure variants depending on the counter‐cations. Ag3[IrBi6I12] combines silver mobility at room temperature with long‐range ordering at low temperature, while DFT calculations reveal semiconducting behavior.
