Local boundary representations of locally C*-algebras [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2021
We initiate a study of non-commutative Choquet boundary for spaces of unbounded operators. We define the notion of local boundary representations for local operator systems in locally C$^*$-algebras and prove that local boundary representations provide an intrinsic invariant for a particular class of local operator systems.

Granulocytic Sarcoma of the Sciatic Nerve Manifested as Relapse of Acute Myeloid Leukemia: A Case Report

open access: yes대한영상의학회지, 2019
Granulocytic sarcoma is a form of extramedullary involvement of primitive myeloid cells. A 69-year-old male patient, with history of acute myeloid leukemia (AML) in remission state for 4 years, presented numbness, radiating pain and progressive motor ...

Hidden local, quasi-local and non-local Symmetries in Integrable Systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
The knowledge of {\it non usual} and sometimes {\it hidden} symmetries of (classical) integrable systems provides a very powerful setting-out of solutions of these models.

PRACTICAL DETERMINATION OF THE COORDINATION NUMBER IN GRANULAR MEDIA

open access: yesImage Analysis and Stereology, 2011
In a random stacking of particles, the coordination number is defined as the mean number of particles touching a given one. A classical measurement by image analysis is directly based on this definition.

Local units versus local projectivity. Dualisations: Corings with local structure maps [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
We unify and generalize different notions of local units and local projectivity. We investigate the connection between these properties by constructing elementary algebras from locally projective modules.

Global and local contributions to corneal surface curvature: a simple model

open access: yesAfrican Vision and Eye Health, 2008
Variations in corneal surface powers reflect variations in the geometry of the cornea.  In particular one can regard corneal surface curvature as a combination of local and global effects.

Local boundary representations for local operator systems [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2023
In this paper, we show that the local boundary representations of a local operator system in a Frechet locally C*-algebra on quantized Frechet domains introduced by Arunkumar [Local boundary representations of locally C*-algebras, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 515(2022),2,Paper No.

Measurements of non local weak values [PDF]

open access: yesJ. Phys.: Conf. Ser. 174 012004 (2009), 2009
Some recent attempts at measuring non local weak values via local measurements are discussed and shown to be less robust than standard weak measurements. A method for measuring some non local weak values via non local measurements (non local weak measurements) is introduced. The meaning of non local weak values is discussed.

Pavilioning Manchester: boundaries of the local, national and global at the Asia Triennial [PDF]

open access: yesThe Open Arts Journal, 2014
Responding specifically to the Asia Triennial Manchester (established in 2008), this article locates the triennial’s title theme of ‘Asia’ within the historical and cultural locale of the city of Manchester, and considers the conceptualisation of ...
