Local derivations and local automorphisms
It is shown that if \({\mathcal L}\) is a completely distributive commutative subspace lattice or a \({\mathcal J}\)-subspace lattice on a complex separable Hilbert space \(H\), then the space of all bounded derivations of \(\text{alg}({\mathcal L})\) is reflexive.

This work is concerned with thermal quantum states of Hamiltonians on spin and fermionic lattice systems with short range interactions. We provide results leading to a local definition of temperature, thereby extending the notion of "intensivity of temperature" to interacting quantum models.

Which spaces look like an n-sphere through the eyes of the n-th Postnikov section functor and the n-connected cover functor? The answer is what we call the Postnikov genus of the n-sphere. We define in fact the notion of localization genus for any homotopical localization functor in the sense of Bousfield and Dror Farjoun.

Global and local contributions to corneal surface curvature: a simple model
Variations in corneal surface powers reflect variations in the geometry of the cornea. In particular one can regard corneal surface curvature as a combination of local and global effects.
