Metabolic rate and foraging behaviour: a mechanistic link across body size and temperature gradients

open access: yesOikos, Volume 2025, Issue 1, January 2025.
The mechanistic link between metabolic rate and foraging behaviour is a crucial aspect of several energy‐based ecological theories. Despite its importance to ecology however, it remains unclear whether and how energy requirements and behavioural patterns are mechanistically connected. Here we aimed to assess how modes of behaviour, including cumulative

A case study on integrating energy‐efficient technologies for display devices

open access: yesElectronics Letters, Volume 60, Issue 15, August 2024.
This work proposes an integrated display system to simultaneously reduce energy consumption in memory usage and backlight of display devices, which are addressed independently in the existing literature. The proposed scheme can process images adaptively to reduce energy consumption while maintaining image quality.

Local color display technology

open access: yesElectronics Letters, Volume 60, Issue 15, August 2024.
The Local Color display technology utilizes high refresh rate LCD open‐cell without color filter, and enables color adjustment through independent RGB backlight zones that are isolated by an anti‐scatter grid (ASG). Local color display includes display synchronous control, grayscale stretch, pre‐lighting, and lighting balance.
