EXPLOITING A LOCAL COMMON: EGOISTIC VS. ALTRUISTIC BEHAVIOR [PDF]
The paper analyzes the exploitation of a local common where the behavior is steered by altruism rooted in social norms. The analysis is illustrated by using the Gordon-Schäfer model of a fishery.

Scaling behavior in wave localization
Wave localization is a ubiquitous phenomenon. It refers to situations that transmitted waves in scattering media are trapped in space and remain confined in the vicinity of the initial site until dissipated. Based on a scaling analysis, the localization behavior in two and three dimensions is studied.
