The multidimensional inverse problem of determining spatial part of integral member kernel in integro-differential wave equation is considered. Herein, the direct problem is represented by the initial-boundary problem for this with zero initial data and ...

FEM -IBIEM coupled method for simulating scattering of seismic waves by 3-D complex local site
A hybrid technique, FEM-IBIEM is developed for studying the scattering of seismic waves by a 3-D complex local site. The indirect boundary integral equation method (IBIEM) adopts the dynamic Green's functions of concentrated loads for a layered half ...

Breast cancer remains a major cause of cancer death in women, frequently developing endocrine therapy resistance. This study demonstrates that upregulated p21‐activated kinase 1 (PAK1) activity drives resistance to tamoxifen and long‐term estrogen deprivation in ER+ breast cancer models.

Backstepping boundary control design for a cascaded viscous Hamilton–Jacobi PDE–ODE system
This paper develops state‐feedback and output‐feedback control design methodologies for boundary stabilization of a class of systems that involves cascade connection of a non‐linear viscous Hamilton–Jacobi partial differential equation (PDE) and a ...

Astrocyte heterogeneity in brain metastases
Astrocytes emerge as pivotal regulators of metastatic colonization, survival, immune remodeling, and therapy response associated with an increasing heterogeneity that requires spatially and longitudinally resolved approaches to uncover regulatory programs and guide context‐specific therapies.

CEACAM1 participation in breast cancer progression
In invasive breast cancer (BC), CEACAM1 shifts from an apical to a uniform membranous/cytoplasmic pattern, or is lost, as tumors dedifferentiate, inversely tracking the Ki‐67 proliferative index. In MCF‐7 cells, only CEACAM1‐4L suppresses proliferation, repressing cell cycle and growth factor genes.

The Kuramoto–Sivashinsky equation. A Local Attractor Filled with Unstable Periodic Solutions
A periodic boundary value problem is considered for one version of the KuramotoSivashinsky equation, which is widely known in mathematical physics. Local bifurcations in a neighborhood of the spatially homogeneous equilibrium points in the case when they

This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.
