An Adaptive Algorithm of Local dimming for Liquid Crystal Displays

open access: yesTELKOMNIKA Indonesian Journal of Electrical Engineering, 2012
The local dimming backlight technique enables liquid crystal display to present images with high contrast ratio and low power consumption. Considering that it is more important to make sure a high quality of the displayed image when reducing the power consumption, therefore, in this paper the new algorithm chooses R PSNR (the peak signal-to-noise ...

Temporal‐Targeted Accelerated 40 Hz tACS Enhances Cognitive Function and Network Integration in Alzheimer's Disease: A Randomized Clinical Trial

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Bilateral temporal accelerated 40‐Hz tACS improves cognitive function in patients with Alzheimer's disease. Resting‐state fNIRS identifies treatment‐related increases in frontotemporoparietal functional connectivity, which are associated with cognitive improvement. ABSTRACT The temporal lobes are key hubs for memory and cognition.

Signatures of localised particle acceleration at a global coronal shock wave

open access: yesAstronomy & Astrophysics
Context. Extreme ultraviolet (EUV) waves are global waves in the solar corona that accelerate particles. The efficiency of this acceleration depends on local plasma characteristics such as the Alfvén speed and the geometry of the magnetic field.

Integrated Multi‐Omics Reveals Cellular States and Microenvironmental Remodeling in Coexisting DCIS and IDC

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Coexisting DCIS and IDC samples are profiled using spatial transcriptomics, single‐cell RNA sequencing, and single‐cell DNA sequencing. Integrative multi‐omics analysis reveals distinct malignant epithelial and microenvironmental features between DCIS and IDC, which are further validated using Xenium and multiplex immunohistochemistry.
