Local near-field enhancement of random Sb-SiN films

Applied Optics, 2004
Local near-field enhancement of random Sb-SiN films has been studied. Specimens consisting of a random Sb-SiN film and an optical recording layer were prepared and exposed to a focused laser beam. Laser-induced ablation occurred on the recording layer adjacent to random Sb-SiN film much faster and at much lower power than on a single recording layer ...

Complementary bowtie aperture for localizing and enhancing optical magnetic field

Optics Letters, 2011
Nanoscale bowtie antenna and bowtie aperture antenna have been shown to generate strongly enhanced and localized electric fields below the diffraction limit in the optical frequency range. According to Babinet's principle, their complements will be efficient for concentrating and enhancing magnetic fields.

Enhanced magnetic localization with artificial neural network field models

2013 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation, 2013
Most of magnetic localization and orientation systems use single dipole models to calculate magnetic field, which, due to the fundamental limitation of the dipole, become inaccurate as the sensors approach the surface of the magnet. Moreover, they are unable to account for geometry, magnetization and any physical imperfections of the magnetic source ...

Huge local electric field enhancement in hybrid plasmonic arrays

Optics Letters, 2014
In this Letter, a novel hybrid nanoparticle array with huge local electric field intensity enhancement is proposed theoretically. The hybrid array is constructed by replacing some nanodisks with nanobowties from a perfect nanodisk square array. In our structure, the nanodisk array, which acts as a two-dimensional grating, can efficiently excite surface

Dynamic Enhanced Field Division

ACM Transactions on Sensor Networks, 2018
Tracking moving objects is always a critical challenge in cyber-physical systems. Researchers have proposed many tracking algorithms. However, most of the proposed algorithms cannot be used for on-demand deployment because of the unavailable preset fingerprints (prior landmark or context information) in their assumption.
