Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Impact of local-field effects on the plasmonic enhancement of vibrational signals by infrared nanoantennas [PDF]
We have developed an analytical model that provides a mechanistic description of the plasmonic enhancement of vibrational signals by infrared nanoantennas.

Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Probing Exciton Localization in Single-Walled Carbon Nanotubes Using High-Resolution Near-Field Microscopy [PDF]
We observe localization of excitons in semiconducting single-walled carbon nanotubes at room temperature using high-resolution near-field photoluminescence (PL) microscopy.

Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...

Resolution Enhancement of Remotely Sensed Land Surface Temperature: Current Status and Perspectives
Remotely sensed land surface temperature (LST) distribution has played a valuable role in land surface processes studies from local to global scales. However, it is still difficult to acquire concurrently high spatiotemporal resolution LST data due to ...
