Balancing mass and momentum in the Local Group [PDF]
In the rest frame of the Local Group (LG), the total momentum of the Milky Way (MW) and Andromeda (M31) should balance to zero. We use this fact to constrain new solutions for the solar motion with respect to the LG centre-of-mass, the total mass of the ...

Liquid biopsy epigenetics: establishing a molecular profile based on cell‐free DNA
Cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) fragments in plasma from cancer patients carry epigenetic signatures reflecting their cells of origin. These epigenetic features include DNA methylation, nucleosome modifications, and variations in fragmentation. This review describes the biological properties of each feature and explores optimal strategies for harnessing cfDNA ...

On the Class Group and the Local Class Group of a Pullback
Let \(M\) be a non-zero maximal ideal of an integral domain \(T\), \(k=T/M\), \(\varphi: T\to k\) the natural homomorphism, and \(D\) a proper subring of \(k\). Let \(R\) be the pullback \[ \begin{tikzcd} R \ar[r] \ar[d] & D\ar[d] \\ T\ar[r,"\varphi"'] & k=T/M \quad .

Clinical trials on PARP inhibitors in urothelial carcinoma (UC) showed limited efficacy and a lack of predictive biomarkers. We propose SLFN5, SLFN11, and OAS1 as UC‐specific response predictors. We suggest Talazoparib as the better PARP inhibitor for UC than Olaparib.

A group homomorphism eta:A-> H is called a localization of A if every homomorphism phi:A-> H can be `extended uniquely' to a homomorphism Phi:H-> H in the sense that Phi eta = phi. This categorical concepts, obviously not depending on the notion of groups, extends classical localizations as known for rings and modules.

HDAC4 is degraded by the E3 ligase FBXW7. In colorectal cancer, FBXW7 mutations prevent HDAC4 degradation, leading to oxaliplatin resistance. Forced degradation of HDAC4 using a PROTAC compound restores drug sensitivity by resetting the super‐enhancer landscape, reprogramming the epigenetic state of FBXW7‐mutated cells to resemble oxaliplatin ...

Background: Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is an aggressive subtype with limited treatment options and poor clinical outcomes. Emerging evidence suggests that the tumor-associated microbiome may influence disease progression and therapy response ...

Over the last few years, rapid progress has been made in distance measurements for nearby galaxies based on the magnitude of the tip of red giant branch stars. Current CCD surveys with HST and large ground- based telescopes bring $\sim$10%-accurate distances for roughly a hundred galaxies within 5 Mpc. The new data on distances to galaxies situated in (

Development of therapies targeting cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) necessitates preclinical model systems that faithfully represent CAF–tumor biology. We established an in vitro coculture system of patient‐derived pancreatic CAFs and tumor cell lines and demonstrated its recapitulation of primary CAF–tumor biology with single‐cell transcriptomics ...
