Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

Promiscuous stimulation of HSP70 ATPase activity by parasite‐derived J‐domains
The malaria parasite Plasmodium falciparum exports three highly homologous yet functionally divergent J‐domain proteins into human erythrocytes. Here, we show that J‐domains isolated from all three proteins effectively stimulate the ATPase activity of both endogenous host and exported parasite HSP70 chaperones.

The dynamics and politics of integrating local knowledge systems in multistakeholder platforms
Multistakeholder platforms (MSPs) enhance collaborative decision making in environmental and landscape governance. However, the dynamics of integrating local knowledge systems and empowering local knowledge holders remain under-researched.

In this study, we developed a deep learning method for mitotic figure counting in H&E‐stained whole‐slide images and evaluated its prognostic impact in 13 external validation cohorts from seven different cancer types. Patients with more mitotic figures per mm2 had significantly worse patient outcome in all the studied cancer types except colorectal ...

Knowledge Loss: Managing Local Knowledge in Rural Uzbekistan [PDF]
Knowledge loss is not a remote phenomenon, unique to one knowledge system. Rather we argue that the loss of knowledge is an issue for other knowledge systems as well.

Visual Recovery Reflects Cortical MeCP2 Sensitivity in Rett Syndrome
ABSTRACT Objective Rett syndrome (RTT) is a devastating neurodevelopmental disorder with developmental regression affecting motor, sensory, and cognitive functions. Sensory disruptions contribute to the complex behavioral and cognitive difficulties and represent an important target for therapeutic interventions.

Knowledge spillovers and local innovation systems: a critical survey [PDF]
The paper re-examines critically the growing literature on localised knowledge spillovers (LKSs), and finds the econometric evidence on the subject still lacking of a firm theoretical background, especially in respect of the more recent developments in ...

The Relationship Between Inflammation and Central Nervous System in Multiple Sclerosis
ABSTRACT Aim Multiple sclerosis is an autoimmune demyelination disease that is seen especially in the young population and has a progressive course, causing motor, sensory, and cognitive deficits. In the literature, the pathogenesis of MS disease and the interconnection between the immune and central nervous system in the disease have not been fully ...
