Local fibred right adjoints are polynomial

open access: yesMathematical Structures in Computer Science, 2012
For any locally cartesian closed category ℰ, we prove that a local fibred right adjoint between slices of ℰ is given by a polynomial. The slices in question are taken in a well-known fibred sense.

Characterization of Defect Distribution in an Additively Manufactured AlSi10Mg as a Function of Processing Parameters and Correlations with Extreme Value Statistics

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Predicting extreme defects in additive manufacturing remains a key challenge limiting its structural reliability. This study proposes a statistical framework that integrates Extreme Value Theory with advanced process indicators to explore defect–process relationships and improve the estimation of critical defect sizes. The approach provides a basis for

Polynomial asymptotic stability of damped stochastic differential equations. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
The paper studies the polynomial convergence of solutions of a scalar nonlinear Itˆo stochastic differential equation dX(t) = −f(X(t)) dt + (t) dB(t) where it is known, a priori, that limt!1 X(t) = 0, a.s. The intensity of the stochastic perturbation

Platelet Modeling in DHF Patients Using Local Polynomial Semiparametric Regression on Longitudinal Data

open access: yesJTAM (Jurnal Teori dan Aplikasi Matematika)
Regression analysis is one of the statistical methods used to model the relationship between response variables and predictor variables. Semiparametric regression is a combination of parametric and nonparametric regression.

Hardness of efficiently generating ground states in postselected quantum computation

open access: yesPhysical Review Research, 2021
Generating ground states of any local Hamiltonians seems to be impossible in quantum polynomial time. In this paper, we give evidence for the impossibility by applying an argument used in the quantum-computational-supremacy approach.

Hereditary localizations of polynomial rings

open access: yesJournal of Algebra, 1991
Let \(R\) be a commutative ring and \(x\) an indeterminate over \(R\). Let \(U\) denote the set of monic polynomials in \(R[x]\) and let \(V\) denote the set of polynomials in \(R[x]\) with content \(R\). Let \(R\langle x\rangle\) and \(R(x)\) denote the localization of \(R[x]\) at \(U\) and \(V\) respectively. This paper is concerned with the behavior

A Practical Noise2Noise Denoising Pipeline for High‐Throughput Raman Spectroscopy

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A lightweight and reproducible denoising pipeline for high‐throughput Raman spectroscopy is introduced, based on a 1D convolutional autoencoder trained with a Noise2Noise strategy. Using only repeated short‐exposure acquisitions, the method suppresses stochastic noise without reference spectra, enabling reliable spectral reconstruction while preserving

A two-variable approach to solve the polynomial Lyapunov equation

open access: yes, 2001
A two-variable polynomial approach to solve the one-variable polynomial Lyapunov equation is proposed. Lifting the problem from the one-variable to the two-variable context allows to use Faddeev-type recursions in order to solve the polynomial Lyapunov ...

Microstructure Modification of Additively Manufactured Mo–9Si–8B by Annealing and Its Effects on High‐Temperature Mechanical Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Postbuild annealing systematically modifies the phase fractions and morphology of EB‐PBF processed Mo–9Si–8B. Quantitative microstructure–property correlations reveal how controlled phase evolution enhances high‐temperature compressive strength and creep resistance.
