Biased halfspaces, noise sensitivity, and local Chernoff inequalities
Biased halfspaces, noise sensitivity, and local Chernoff inequalities, Discrete Analysis 2019:13, 50 pp. A _Boolean function_ is a function from the discrete cube, which it is convenient to represent as $\{-1,1\}^n$, to $\{0,1\}$.

Stagnation point bionanofluid slip flow model: Sensitivity analysis
The paper studied on thermodynamics properties of bionanofluid flow over a stagnation point on a shrinking surface. Natural properties of the stagnation point have facilitated numerous applications in the field of chemistry and biology.

Local sensitivity of per-recruit fishing mortality reference points
We study the sensitivity of fishery management per-recruit harvest rates which may be part of a quantitative harvest strategy designed to achieve some objective for catch or population size.

Effect of Inter-Well Interactions on Non-Linear Beam Splitters for Matter-Wave Interferometers
We study the non-linear beam splitter in matter-wave interferometers using ultracold quantum gases in a double-well configuration in presence of non-local interactions inducing inter-well density-density coupling, as they can be realized, e.g., with ...

Context sensitivity of surface urban heat island at the local and regional scales
In this study we analysed the multi-annual (2002–2011) average summer surface urban heat island (SUHI) intensity of the 5000 largest urban clusters in Europe.

Supermodular Locality Sensitive Hashes
In this work, we show deep connections between Locality Sensitive Hashability and submodular analysis. We show that the LSHablility of the most commonly analyzed set similarities is in one-to-one correspondance with the supermodularity of these similarities when taken with respect to the symmetric difference of their arguments.

Follow-up of fluorine pollution effect on grapevine
Effects of atmospheric pollution on three local grapevines, Asli, Jerbi and Tounsi, growing in the vicinity of a phosphate fertiliser factory, consist of an exhibition of characteristic necrosis on leaves and fruits.

A Non-Homogeneous process is a process with rate parameter (t) such that this rate is a function of time. Bayesians are interested in robustness with respect to changes in prior distributions/sampling models/loss functions.

Impact of Local Soil Conditions on Earthquake Sensitivity in Erzincan City
In recent years, uncontrolled growth of cities as a result of rapid population rise has caused people to go towards inappropriate areas in terms of local soil conditions. At the same time, this situation, which increased the depression-sensitive areas in

Neighborhood-Based Local Sensitivity [PDF]
We introduce a nonparametric model for sensitivity estimation which relies on generating points similar to the prediction point using its knearest neighbors. Unlike most previous work, the sampled points differ simultaneously in multiple dimensions from the prediction point in a manner dependent on the local density.
