Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Lumbar and Thoracic Vertebrae Segmentation in CT Scans Using a 3D Multi-Object Localization and Segmentation CNN

open access: yesTomography
Radiation treatment of cancers like prostate or cervix cancer requires considering nearby bone structures like vertebrae. In this work, we present and validate a novel automated method for the 3D segmentation of individual lumbar and thoracic vertebra in

Localités : localisation des écrits et production locale d’actions - Introduction

open access: yesLes Dossiers du GRIHL, 2008
The issue of « local » is here considered in relation to the collective works of the Grihl. It invites to question the way how writing works (“literary” works but not only) can be related to places, spaces, loci – as a result of specific localization ...

Indoor Large-Scale MIMO-Based RSSI Localization with Low-Complexity RFID Infrastructure

open access: yesSensors, 2020
Indoor localization based on unsynchronized, low-complexity, passive radio frequency identification (RFID) using the received signal strength indicator (RSSI) has a wide potential for a variety of internet of things (IoTs) applications due to their ...

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

LOCALIZATION OF THE AIR POLLUTION ZONE IN CASE OF LIQUIDATION OF AN ACCIDENT WITH CHEMICALLY HAZARDOUS CARGO

open access: yesNauka ta progres transportu, 2009
The 3D CFD model to simulate the pollutant transfer and the process of neutralization of toxic gas after accidents was developed. The model is based on the transport gradient model and the model of inviscid incompressible fluid.
