The accuracy of measuring condylion location

American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, 1989
In locating condylion (Co), clinicians have used cephalograms in maximum mandibular opening to provide a clearer image of the condyle. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the accuracy of identifying condylin on a sample of open and closed mouth cephalograms of 20 patients.

Irrelevant Location Information Influences Accuracy in Bowling

Motor Control, 2015
Most cognitive control effects, although numerously reported in computer task studies, have rarely been tested outside the laboratory. The purpose of this study was twofold. First, we aimed to improve the ecological validity of a well-studied congruency effect.

Accuracy of electronic apex locater-controlled handpieces

Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, Oral Pathology, Oral Radiology, and Endodontology, 2009
An in vitro model was used to test a hypothesis that the manual (apex locator) and motor-driven (apex locator-controlled handpiece) operating modes of 3 newly developed apex-locator-controlled handpiece devices (Dentaport ZX, Endomaster, XSmart Dual) give the same working length.

Study on Location Accuracy of Partial Discharge Locator

2019 IEEE Electrical Insulation Conference (EIC), 2019
At joint and terminal sections of the cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) cable, partial discharges (PDs) occur in defects of insulating materials. The PD generation can occur at any points in the insulation system where electric field strength exceeds a PD inception electric field and can develop until breakdown occurs.

High accuracy orbital plane locator

Nuclear Instruments and Methods, 1980
Abstract A device has been developed for accurately locating optical instruments relative to the orbital plane of the electrons in the storage ring. It consists of a pair of extreme ultraviolet photodiodes which are positioned above and below the electron's orbital plane. By interchanging the two diodes the system is self calibrated.

Analysis of Locating Accuracy

2021
By analyzing the movement mechanism of a workpiece in fixture locating scheme, the locating error which can measure a fixture locating performance is formulized as a function of the workpiece position error by the technology of coordinate transformation.

Edge Location Accuracy

SPIE Proceedings, 1984
An analysis is presented of noise and resolution limitations of a typical visible light imaging system in producing a digital image, and effects of the convolution of the image with the Marr-Hildreth edge operator, and the zero-crossing interpolation scheme, on the accuracy of edge location.

The Accuracy of GBM GRB Locations

AIP Conference Proceedings, 2009
The Fermi Gamma‐Ray Burst Monitor (GBM) locates transient gamma‐ray sources using the relative rates in the twelve NaI detectors. The location algorithm is described. This method is subject to both statistical and systematic errors. Three types of locations are produced: automatic locations by the Flight Software onboard GBM, automatic locations by ...

Location Accuracy Estimates for Signal Fingerprinting

Proceedings of the 28th International Conference on Advances in Geographic Information Systems, 2020
Location fingerprinting is a technique for determining the location of a device by measuring ambient signals such as radio signal strength, temperature, or any signal that varies with location. The accuracy of the technique is compromised by signal noise, quantization, and limited calibration resources.

location Versus Distance in Determining Movement Accuracy

Journal of Motor Behavior, 1982
In a pursuit-tracking task consisting of 100 positioning movements between targets at 5 fixed positions, target location (proximity to the boundary of the task) varied independently of movement amplitude. Eighty-seven subjects performed 12 trials of the task, with target width (at 3 levels) as a between-subject variable.
