Evidences for a quasi 60-year North Atlantic Oscillation since 1700 and its meaning for global climate change

open access: yes, 2012
The North Atlantic Oscillation (NAO) obtained using instrumental and documentary proxy predictors from Eurasia is found to be characterized by a quasi 60-year dominant oscillation since 1650.

Neutral‐pH Electropolymerization of Aniline on Hierarchically Porous Laser‐Induced Graphene Electrodes for Dual Biosensing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Neutral‐pH electropolymerization of aniline on laser‐induced graphene (LIG) produces stable, brush‐like polyaniline coatings without requiring acidic conditions. The resulting PANI–LIG electrodes exhibit enhanced electroactive surface area, efficient charge transfer, and dual sensing capability for β‐blockers and pH, providing a scalable platform ...

Near real-time LOD prediction using ConvLSTM model through integrating IGS rapid LOD and effective angular momentum

open access: yesGeo-spatial Information Science
Length of day (LOD), a critical component of Earth orientation parameters (EOP), represents variations in Earth’s rotation rate. It is very difficult to predict accurately due to the effects of atmosphere, ocean, hydrology, the Earth’s internal ...

Punishment in Public Goods games leads to meta-stable phase transitions and hysteresis

open access: yes, 2015
The evolution of cooperation has been a perennial problem in evolutionary biology because cooperation can be undermined by selfish cheaters who gain an advantage in the short run, while compromising the long-term viability of the population. Evolutionary

High‐Transmission Mid‐Infrared Bandpass Filters using Hybrid Metal‐Dielectric Metasurfaces for CO2 Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, Volume 13, Issue 8, March 13, 2025.
This article presents a hybrid metal‐dielectric metasurface in transmission mode for mid‐infrared (MIR) spectroscopy. Composed of germanium on aluminium cylinders atop a calcium fluoride substrate, the metasurface achieves 80% transmission efficiency at λ = 2.6 µm with a narrow full‐width‐half‐maximum of 0.4 µm.

Laparoscopic ovarian drilling reduces testosterone and luteinizing hormone/follicle-stimulating hormone ratio and improves clinical outcome in women with polycystic ovary syndrome

open access: yesJournal of Human Reproductive Sciences, 2019
Background: Laparoscopic ovarian drilling (LOD) is one of the common modes of treatment for women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) who are resistant to clomiphene citrate. The data related to the effect of LOD on sex hormones are limited.
