Estimating log P with atom/fragments and water solubility with log P

Perspectives in Drug Discovery and Design, 2000
An atom/fragment contribution method that predicts log P is described. Coefficient values for 150 atom/fragments and 250 correction factors have been derived from a training set of 2473 compounds. When applied to an independent validation set of 10589 compounds, the method estimates log P with excellent accuracy (correlation coefficient r

Modularity of P-Log Programs

2011
We propose an approach for modularizing P-log programs and corresponding compositional semantics based on conditional probability measures. We do so by resorting to Oikarinen and Janhunen's definition of a logic program module and extending it to P-log by introducing the notions of input random attributes and output literals.

An O(p + log p) algorithm of discrete FGDLS

2003 International Conference on Parallel Processing Workshops, 2003. Proceedings., 2004
Feedback guided dynamic loop scheduling (FGDLS) is a recent dynamic method (Bull, 1998) that aims to schedule a parallel loop within a sequential outer loop. The method uses the feedback from the execution times of the current parallel loop to guide the scheduling of the next parallel loop.

Co-analysis of RAS Log and Job Log on Blue Gene/P

2011 IEEE International Parallel & Distributed Processing Symposium, 2011
With the growth of system size and complexity, reliability has become of paramount importance for petascale systems. Reliability, Availability, and Serviceability (RAS) logs have been commonly used for failure analysis. However, analysis based on just the RAS logs has proved to be insufficient in understanding failures and system behaviors. To overcome

IPL-P [PDF]

open access: possibleProceedings of the VLDB Endowment, 2011
A great deal of research has been done on solid-state storage media such as flash memory and non-volatile memory in the past few years. While NAND-type flash memory is now considered a top alternative to magnetic disk drives, different types of non-volatile memory have also begun to appear in the market recently.

The normalization of the PVO log N-log P distribution

AIP Conference Proceedings, 1993
The long duration of the Pioneer Venus Orbitor (PVO) mission has provided coverage of the infrequent, intense Gamma‐Ray Bursts (GRB) that occupy the −3/2 power law region of the log N‐log P distribution. The combination of the PVO events with the BATSE results on weaker events could provide the frequency distribution of GRBs over a range of 104 in ...

Correlation of Log P with Molecular Connectivity in Hydroxyureas: Influence of Conformational System on Log P

Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, 1978
The correlation of log P (in octanol--water) with the nonempirical, topologically dependent, calculated molecular connectivity index (1chiv) delineates substituted hydroxyureas into two families of linearly related groups of compounds. The first group, composed of the 3-substituted ethyl, n-propyl, and n-butyl analogs, is more hydrophilic than the 1 ...
