Indexed algebras associated to a log structure and a theorem of p -descent on log schemes

manuscripta mathematica, 2000
A log scheme is a scheme \(X\) endowed with an étale sheaf of monoids \({\mathcal M}_X\) and with a map of monoids \(\alpha:{\mathcal M}_X\to{\mathcal O}_X\) (\({\mathcal M}_X\) is regarded as a multiplicative sheaf of monoids) such that the induced map \(\alpha^{-1}({\mathcal O}^*_X)\to{\mathcal O}_X^*\) is an isomorphism. ACD/Log P method description

Perspectives in Drug Discovery and Design, 2000
Summary. This study describes the development of the ACD/Log P calculation method. Analysis of 14 calculation methods revealed that the most accurate calculations are obtained when correction factors are used. We evaluated the correction factors used by Hansch and Leo in CLOGP in order to simplify their method.

Analysis of the log N-log P of the BATSE gamma-ray bursts

Astrophysics and Space Science, 1995
The distribution of the sources of the Gamma-Ray Bursts (GRBs) recorded by the CGRO experiment is uniform for all directions in the sky, while the behaviour of the log N-log P suggests a space distribution of the events not homogeneous. The cosmological model can explain this result, but it cannot explain the presence of cyclotron lines in the burst ...

The p-Adic Log Gamma Function and p-Adic Euler Constants

Transactions of the American Mathematical Society, 1977
A locally analytic function \(G_p\) on \(\mathbb C_p-\mathbb Z_p\) is defined. \(G_p\) satisfies relations similar to the standard formulas for log gamma (example: \(G_p(x+1)=G_p(x)+\log x\), \(G_p(x)+G_p(1-x)=0\), \dots), but \(G_p\) is not the log of Morita's gamma function \(\Gamma_p\).

Predictions of log P for aromatic compounds

Journal of the Chemical Society, Perkin Transactions 2, 1999
In a previous paper it has been found that Hammett’s parameter σ(X)p is not very useful as a measure of electronic effects. The equation log P(XC6H4Y) = log P(C6H6) + π(X) + π(Y) + σ(X) × ρp(Y) + σ(Y) × ρp(X) deduced for the calculation of log P values for aromatic compounds has therefore been revised.
