A cooperative and competitive interrelationship between alcohol oxidation (AOR) and water oxidation (OER) was observed on a typical anode catalyst of Ni2P. In situ Raman spectroscopy and electrochemical analyses revealed a specific complementary mechanism between them, in which OER and AOR critically contribute to the activity and stability of anodic ...

Influence of borehole‐eccentred tools on wireline and logging‐while‐drilling sonic logging measurements [PDF]
ABSTRACTWe describe a numerical study to quantify the influence of tool‐eccentricity on wireline (WL) and logging‐while‐drilling (LWD) sonic logging measurements. Simulations are performed with a height‐polynomial‐adaptive (hp) Fourier finite‐element method that delivers highly accurate solutions of linear visco‐elasto‐acoustic problems in the ...

Transition metal oxy/carbo‐nitrides show great promise as catalysts for sustainable processes. A Mn‐Mo mixed‐metal oxynitride attains remarkable performance for the direct synthesis of acetonitrile, an important commodity chemical, via sequential C─N and C─C coupling from syngas (C1) and ammonia (N1) feedstocks.

Bacteria‐Responsive Nanostructured Drug Delivery Systems for Targeted Antimicrobial Therapy
Bacteria‐responsive nanocarriers are designed to release antimicrobials only in the presence of infection‐specific cues. This selective activation ensures drug release precisely at the site of infection, avoiding premature or indiscriminate release, and enhancing efficacy.

Polymorph‐Specific Electronic Transduction in WO3 during Molecular Sensing
Metal‐oxide polymorphs with similar surface chemistry can nevertheless exhibit distinct sensing properties. In γ‐ and ε‐WO3, analyte adsorption appears comparable; yet, only ε‐WO3 induces a pronounced lattice electronic perturbation that accommodates charge in sub‐conduction band minimum states.
