Research on a Measurement Method for Downhole Drill String Eccentricity Based on a Multi-Sensor Layout

open access: yesSensors, 2021
The drill string used in drilling is in a complex motion state downhole for several kilometers. The operating attitude and eccentricity of the downhole drill string play important roles in avoiding downhole risks and correcting the output of the imaging ...

Ti3C2Tx MXene/Silver Composite Foams For Lightweight, High‐Performance Electromagnetic Interference Shielding and Joule Heating

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Ultrathin MXene/EMF composite foams achieve a specific shielding efficiency of 749.6 dB.dB·cm3$\mathrm{dB}\cdot {\mathrm{cm}}^{3}$/g, while the silver‐enhanced MXene/Ag/EMF reaches 81.4 dB shielding effectiveness at just 1.0 mm thickness. Both composites exhibit rapid Joule heating, retain stability up to 250∘C$^\circ{\rm C}$, and withstand 1000 ...

Experience in applying nuclear magnetic resonance logging while drilling for reservoir saturation assessment in Achimov deposits

open access: yesИзвестия высших учебных заведений: Геология и разведка
Background. In the development of low-permeability reservoirs with low-salinity formation water (Achimov formation, Western Siberia), the reliable assessment of formation saturation is a critical challenge.

Material Before Morphology: Substrate‐Dependent Mechanical Tuning of Radular Teeth

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Substrate‐dependent material tuning in Clausilia radular teeth. Closely related taxa retain a conserved gross tooth morphology, but differ in elemental composition and mechanical properties according to feeding substrate. Rock‐associated taxa show increased Ca–Si enrichment and higher stiffness and hardness, especially in the central radular region ...

LLM‐Integrated Human–Robot Interaction System for Microrobots

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This paper proposes an LLM‐based control framework for guiding microrobots using human natural language. This framework can convert the natural human speech into safe and executable command sets for reliable navigation in complex environments. The experimental results show high accuracy and robustness in task performance, demonstrating the potential of

Influence of borehole‐eccentred tools on wireline and logging‐while‐drilling sonic logging measurements [PDF]

open access: yesGeophysical Prospecting, 2013
ABSTRACTWe describe a numerical study to quantify the influence of tool‐eccentricity on wireline (WL) and logging‐while‐drilling (LWD) sonic logging measurements. Simulations are performed with a height‐polynomial‐adaptive (hp) Fourier finite‐element method that delivers highly accurate solutions of linear visco‐elasto‐acoustic problems in the ...

GPR124 Alleviates Blood–Brain Barrier Disruption by Enhancing Microvascular Endothelial Function after Traumatic Brain Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Our study reveals the protective role of GPR124 in maintaining BBB integrity and promoting neurological recovery following TBI. It makes a significant contribution by uncovering a novel molecular interaction between GPR124 and FGFBP1 and linking this to activation of the Wnt/β‐catenin signaling pathway in vascular repair mechanisms.

Mitochondria and Neuromast Tagging With Fluorescent Gallium‐Triapine Analogues: In Cellulo MP FLIM and Zebrafish Live Imaging

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Fluorescent BODIPY‐conjugated thiosemicarbazone ligands and their Ga(III), In(III), and Fe(III) complexes, inspired by Triapine, are developed as theranostic agents. Multiphoton FLIM and confocal microscopy in cancer cells and zebrafish reveal real‐time uptake, mitochondrial localisation, and whilst spectroscopic assays indicated preserved complex ...

Real-Time Method and Implementation of Head-Wave Extraction for Ultrasonic Imaging While Drilling

open access: yesApplied Sciences
Extracting head waves and subsequently uploading their results from the downhole to the surface system in real time could improve the real-time guidance of ultrasonic imaging logging while drilling (UILWD) for drilling operations. To realize the downhole
