MSER Based Text Localization for Multi-language Using Double-Threshold Scheme
In this paper, a region-based text localization that is robust for multiple languages is presented. Maximally Stable Extremal Regions (MSERs) are used for detecting candidates of text areas.

Nominalization and focus constructions in some Kiranti languages
It is well-known that in many if not most Sino-Tibetan languages relative clause and attribute/genitive markers are identical with nominalization devices and that sentences bearing such markers can also function as independent utterances (cf.

Dynamic Detection of Determinism in Functional Logic Languages
Programs in functional logic languages usually have to satisfy a nonambiguity condition, that semantically ensures completeness of conditional narrowing and pragmatically ensures that the defined (non-boolean) functions are deterministic and do not yield

The Bitter Taste of Brazil's Temporary Import Ban on Robusta Coffee
ABSTRACT Brazil, a leading Robusta coffee producer and exporter, faced a significant drought in 2016–2017, which drastically reduced production and depleted stocks. Consequently, Brazil temporarily permitted the import of one million 60‐kg bags of Robusta coffee in the spring 2017. An import ban was imposed shortly afterward due to lobbying by domestic

Relationships of Word-Formation and Logical Semiotics
Logic developed a theory of names to which Polish logicians of the LvovWarsaw School eminently contributed. However, logicians do not delve into the structure of names of certain type, and treat them as inseparable lexical units.

SOLVING MATH WORD PROBLEMS IN THE ERA OF DEEP LEARNING AND LARGE LANGUAGE MODELS: A COMPREHENSIVE SURVEY [PDF]
Solving Math Word Problems (MWPs) demands the mixed integration of natural language comprehension and mathematical reasoning. This paper conducts a comprehensive study of MWP solvers evolution, tracing their development from Traditional Approaches ...

An abstract machine for restricted and-parallel execution of logic programs
Although the sequential execution speed of logic programs has been greatly improved by the concepts introduced in the Warren Abstract Machine (WAM), parallel execution represents the only way to increase this speed beyond the natural limits of sequential

Automated generative process synthesis via transformer‐based dual‐loop simulation and optimization
Abstract This study presents a novel framework for automated generative process synthesis, addressing the complexity of simultaneously optimizing discrete topologies and continuous operating variables. To overcome conventional superstructure limitations, we propose a dual‐loop architecture integrating generative transformers with rigorous process ...

GraphRAG for engineering diagrams: ChatP&ID enables LLM interaction with P&IDs
Abstract Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) are central to process engineering workflows, yet extracting information from them remains a tedious and time‐consuming task. This work introduces ChatP&ID, a framework enabling natural‐language interaction with smart P&IDs through Graph Retrieval‐Augmented Generation (GraphRAG), to our knowledge ...

Validity of the laws of Non-contradiction and Excluded middle; Logical or Psychological (Review of misunderstandings and misinterpretations, self-made accusations and types of fallacies in a criticism) [PDF]
In Classical Logic, the law of non-contradiction and the law of excluded middle are considered theorems and have proof. Recently, Morteza Hajihosseini has written a book titled Two Non-Classical Logic Systems, A New Outlook on Elements of Logic (2017 ...
