Taut Monads, Dynamic Logic and Determinism
AbstractStudied are Kleisli categories of monads of sets which satisfy two properties motivated by functional properties of collections. Such categories have box and diamond operators which follow the laws of (loop-free) dynamic logic. A theorem of Kozen states that the category of sets and relations is complete for loop-free dynamic logic. It is shown

A Two‐Stage Characterization Pipeline and Open‐Source Framework for Reproducible Tactile Sensing
The same soft tactile sensor returns different numbers when embodied in different robots. This is an Embodiment Gap that no shared framework currently captures transparently. A two‐stage characterization pipeline, paired with a FAIR open‐source digital datasheet, decouples intrinsic sensor behavior from embodiment effects and condenses cross‐laboratory

Determinism and Quantum Indeterminacy through Qualia, Holographic Principles, and Logical Love
This paper proposes "Layered Determinism," a gentle integration of determinism and quantum indeterminacy through a two-layer structure: a deterministic foundation (e.g., qualia generation as inevitable mechanism) and a quantum interpretive upper layer ...

Basic elements and problems of probability theory [PDF]
After a brief review of ontic and epistemic descriptions, and of subjective, logical and statistical interpretations of probability, we summarize the traditional axiomatization of calculus of probability in terms of Boolean algebras and its set ...

Ising Solver Using Vertical NAND Flash Memory
Commercial V‐NAND flash memory is repurposed as a discrete‐time Ising solver by exploiting in‐memory current summation and read‐voltage‐controlled intrinsic noise. The system implements Hopfield neural‐network updates with simulated‐annealing‐like behavior, solving max‐cut problems with high accuracy and energy efficiency while using mass‐produced ...

الجبر والاختيار بين التناقض والتضاد في الفلسفة وعلم الكلام (دراسة تحليلية) Determinism and Free Will between Contradiction and Contrariety in Philosophy and Islamic Kalām (An Analytical Study) [PDF]

The Roots of Determinism According to Jan Lukasiewicz [PDF]

ABSTRACT The rapid advancement of large language model (LLM) technology is profoundly transforming the practice of social science research. Scholarly discussions on Artificial Intelligence (AI)'s role in social science research can be organised into three levels: AI as a research tool, AI as a methodological infrastructure and AI as a quasi‐cognitive ...

Determinism, Laws of Nature and the Consequence Argument
Scott Sehon (2011) argues that the conception of determinism employed in the Consequence Argument is implausible because it rules out the logical possibility of the laws of nature being violated. Sehon says, for instance, that determinism is incompatible
