A METHOD FOR ESTIMATING LONG PERIOD GROUND MOTION IN A BASIN
本論文では, 盆地内のやや長周期地震動を簡便に推定する手法を提案する. ここで提案する手法は, 盆地内のやや長周期地震動は震源から到来する地震動と, 盆地境界部で生成される盆地生成表面波とで構成されるとし, 前者の地震動は平行成層モデルで求め, 後者は盆地境界におけるエネルギー流量の保存則を用いて推定するものである. 本論では, まず推定手法の説明を行い, 次に単純な形状をした盆地モデルに提案手法を適用し, 三次元境界要素法の計算結果と比較することで手法の妥当性を示す. さらに, 兵庫県南部地震を対象に, 関西地震観測研究協議会の福島観測点および尼崎観測点における地震動を推定し, 観測記録と比較することで, 提案手法が実地震にも適用可能であることを示す.

Attenuation and Amplification of Long-Period Component of Ground motion
中央防災会議「東南海、南海地震等に関する専門調査会」1は、各専門調査会において構築した深部地下構造モデルを用い、修正を加えて全国の深部地下構造モデルを構築し、その地下構造モデルより計算される全国の深部地盤の一次固有周期の分布図を「長周期地震動の揺れやすさマップ」として公表した。この深部地盤モデルをもとに、筆者らは、全国の地点における長周期地震動の増幅特性を調査し、深部地盤の一次固有周期が長いほど長周期地震動の増幅が大きくなることを見いだした。そして、長周期地震動の増幅率と深部地盤の一次固有周期との関係を整理し、深部地盤の影響を考慮した距離減衰式を考案した。
