Comprehensive Review of Synthesis, Structure, and Electrochemical Performance of LiFePO4

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Olivine‐structured LiFePO4 (LFP) nanomaterials are the most effective cathode materials for lithium‐ion battery applications. Here, we report how precursor chemistry, synthesis routes, morphology control, carbon engineering, and doping strategies govern phase formation, charge transport, and electrochemical behaviour of LFP cathodes.

Herbivory‐Induced Stomatal Opening Triggers the Dispersal of an Invasive Insect Herbivore

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The invasive leafminer Phthorimaea absoluta uniquely manipulates plant defenses by inducing stomatal opening in tomato. This response, mediated by the stomatal regulator IQM1, enhances the release of the repellent volatile benzaldehyde. This volatile triggers the dispersal of adult moths, facilitates colonization of new hosts, and leads to rapid ...

An Interpretable, Data‐Driven, Hierarchical Multi‐Domain Fusion Framework for Classification and Motor Function Scoring in Chronic Ankle Instability

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An AI‐enabled digital twin framework integrates wearable EMG sensing with hierarchical multi‐domain fusion to classify chronic ankle instability, distinguish clinically relevant subtypes, and generate continuous motor function scores. Clinically interpretable functional stratification and SHAP‐based biomarker analysis provide transparent decision ...

Engineering CAR‐Macrophages With Advanced Delivery Systems for Tissue Repair

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This review highlights how engineered macrophages equipped with chimeric antigen receptors (CAR) guide tissue repair by recognizing disease‐related targets, clearing harmful cells, and reshaping local immune environments. It summarizes macrophage biology, CAR design, delivery platforms, and functionalization strategies, and discusses emerging ...

Exercise and longevity

Maturitas, 2012
Aging is a natural and complex physiological process influenced by many factors, some of which are modifiable. As the number of older individuals continues to increase, it is important to develop interventions that can be easily implemented and contribute to "successful aging".

Body composition and longevity: Is there a longevous morphotype?

Medical Anthropology, 1991
Life expectancies are increasing in populations throughout the world. As infectious diseases decline as causes of mortality, certain degenerative diseases including cardiovascular disease and cancer account for an increasing percentage of deaths. As more people survive into old age, the intrinsic limits on the human life span will be reached.

Genetics of longevity

Experimental Gerontology, 1998
Recent studies on the genetics of aging in the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae, the roundworm Caenorhabditis elegans, and the fruit fly Drosophila melanogaster have converged revealing the central role of metabolic capacity and resistance to stress in determining life span.

Music and longevity

Advances in Gerontology, 2014
The data on mean age of death of 8,775 musicians (7,371 males and 1,404 females)--composers, conductors, singers, pianists, violinists, etc.) are presented in the paper. Women lived longer than men in any studied categories (p < 0.02). The 3 first places of long-livers among men were belonging to conductors (71.1 yrs., n = 1,435), players on chello (70.

Longevity genes

Orvosi Hetilap, 2008

Interfering with Longevity

Science of Aging Knowledge Environment, 2005
Several recent studies have highlighted how RNA interference has advanced aging-related research in Caenorhabditis elegans . Two new genome-wide RNAi-based screens together identified more than 100 new candidate longevity genes.
