Boosting the Photoluminescence of Au@Cu12 Nanoclusters via Strategic Fluorine‐Atom Ligand‐Shell Engineering

open access: yesJournal of the Chinese Chemical Society, EarlyView.
The photophysical performance of gold‐doped copper‐rich nanoclusters can be tuned by surface functionalization. Subtle ligand modification enhances intermolecular interactions, thereby reducing nonradiative decay and markedly improving photoluminescence. Comparative photographs and quantum yield values (Φ = 55% vs.

Rigorous Electromagnetic Quasinormal‐Mode Method Made Easy for Users

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
We present a method that combines numerical techniques with accurate approximations to enable simple and ultrafast computations of the scattered field based on quasinormal modes expansions. The method is made available in the open‐source package MANlite implemented within COMSOL.

Resonant States Reveal Strong Light–Matter Coupling in Nanophotonic Cavities

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
Photonic resonant states reveal characteristics of coupled light–matter systems that would otherwise be hidden by damping. Their trajectories (when tuning the optical resonance) undergo a qualitative change at the onset of strong coupling: They start swapping positions.

Reconfigurable Giant Nonreciprocity at Near‐Normal Incidence via Phase‐Change Magneto‐Optical Metagratings

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
A phase‐change magneto‐optical metagrating combines GST switching with InAs guided‐mode resonances to achieve strong nonreciprocal absorption contrast near normal incidence. A static magnetic bias creates direction‐dependent resonant splitting, while GST crystallization quenches and latches the response.

Seven derivations of the Lorentz transformations in Special Relativity are seen to be invalid [PDF]

open access: yes
Lorentz introduced his transformations as mere proposals for the relations between the E and H fields of light as measured in two reference systems in relative motion [1]. He proffered no argument to justify them. Others have subsequently given their own

Foliation-Generating Observers Under Lorentz Transformations

open access: yes
In this work, we revise the concept of foliation and related aspects that are crucial when formulating the Hamiltonian evolution for various theories beyond General Relativity.
