On Lorentz Invariant Complex Scalar Fields

open access: yesAdvances in High Energy Physics, 2022
We obtain a Lorentz covariant wave equation whose complex wave function transforms under a Lorentz boost according to the following rule, Ψx⟶ei/ℏfxΨx. We show that the spacetime-dependent phase fx is the most natural relativistic extension of the phase ...

Submicron Metasurface Reconfigured Multiband Smart Windows

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work presents a submicron metasurface reconfigured multiband thermochromic smart window. By integrating subwavelength nanostructures into a Fabry−Perot resonator configuration, it mitigates conventional trade‐offs to simultaneously deliver high luminous transmittance and robust solar heating and radiative cooling modulation capabilities ...

General relativity and background Lorentz transformations solve Supplee's submarine paradox

open access: yes, 2023
A submarine moving at relativistic horizontal velocity sinks in Earth's rest frame due to length contraction while appearing to float in its own frame.

Room‐Temperature Skyrmionic Synapse in 2D Ferromagnet Fe3GaTe2 Operating via Collective Spin Texture Transformation

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
We demonstrate a neuromorphic synapse in 2D Fe3GaTe2 flakes. The device operates via a current‐driven transformation from a skyrmion‐lattice to a stripe‐domain state, yielding a linear anomalous Hall resistance response with a tunable slope to enable multiply‐accumulate operations. Simulations confirm its viability in artificial neural networks.

Underlining some aspects of twin paradox in a high school lesson [PDF]

open access: yesRevista Brasileira de Ensino de Física
In this paper we want to describe one of our lessons held within the educational project “Liceo Matematico” of the Salerno University. We have analyzed the so-called and well-known “Twin Paradox”.

Measuring the Hall Effect in Hysteretic Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The authors highlight common pitfalls in measuring the Hall effect: in hysteretic magnets, improper data processing can create signals that look exotic but are not real. This Perspective explains the origin of these artifacts and presents practical measurement strategies that help researchers identify reliable Hall responses in complex magnetic ...

Why do spacecraft always experience a black-out area that disrupts communications when they return to Earth?

open access: yesScienceOpen Research
In this paper, Lorentz factor and Lorentz transformations are modified based on the new aether theory, and the blackout which leads to communication interruption of high-speed moving objects is analyzed by using the modified Lorentz electromagnetic field

Uniqueness of Simultaneity [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
I invesigate the question of existence and uniqueness of simultaneity structures in spacetimes whose automorphism group, Aut, is either the inhomogeneous proper orthochronous Galilei or Lorentz group.

The Lorentz Transformation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
Traditionally, two postulates are put at the beginning of Special Relativity, from which all other results can be derived.
