Achronal averaged null energy condition for extremal horizons and (A)dS

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2020
We prove the achronal averaged null energy condition for general quantum field theories in the near horizon geometry of spherical extremal black holes (i.e. AdS2 × S d−2), de Sitter and anti-de Sitter. The derivation follows from monotonicity of relative

Phase Boundary Engineering of Co2P‐CoP Branched Nanoparticles Enhances Cobalt Oxidation for Oxygen Evolution Electrocatalysis

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Phase boundaries between Co2P and CoP are constructed through a controlled transformation of Co to Co2P‐CoP branched nanoparticles. The polycrystalline mixed‐phase Co2P‐CoP branches are enriched with phase boundaries that stabilize Co active sites for OER. This work highlights phase boundary engineering as a powerful approach to tailor active sites and

Resolving Heterogeneity of Targeted Lipid Nanoparticles Through Solution‐Based Biophysical Analyses

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
AF4‐UV‐DLS‐MALS‐SAXS resolves previously inaccessible targeted lipid nanoparticle (tLNP) subpopulations that differ in size, shape, and composition. Correlation of subpopulation‐resolved biophysical properties with in vivo RNA delivery reveals that targeted placental transfection is associated with distinct tLNP subpopulations rather than ensemble ...

Traversable wormhole for string, but not for particle

open access: yesPhysics Letters B
We propose a Lorentzian wormhole geometry characterized by a closed string massless sector with nontrivial H-flux and a scalar dilaton. In the string frame, the dilaton exhibits a negative kinetic term, enabling the existence of the wormhole.

Holographic excited states in AdS black holes

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2019
We have recently presented a geometry dual to a Schwinger-Keldysh closed time contour, with two equal β/2 length Euclidean sections, which can be thought of as dual to the Thermo Field Dynamics formulation of the boundary CFT.

Riemannian and Lorentzian geometry

open access: yes, 2014
Abstract We give in this chapter a survey of the basic definitions of Riemannian and Lorentzian differential geometry that are necessary in General Relativity. The given definition of a manifold does not imply that it is a Hausdorff topological space; that is, it admits the possibility for two points not to have non-intersecting ...

Controlling Radiative Phonons in the van der Waals Ferroelectric NbOI2

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Using a simple mirror geometry, this work demonstrates local‐density‐of‐optical‐states control of THz phonon emission in van der Waals ferroelectric NbOI2. By engineering the photonic environment, the phonon Q‐factor, linewidth, peak frequency, and emission intensity are reversibly tuned by over an order of magnitude, revealing radiative phonons as ...

Low Resistance Interphase Formation at the PEO‐LiTFSI|LGPS Interface in Lithium Solid‐State Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Interfacial charge transfer and low‐resistance interphase formation between PEO‐based polymer and Li10GeP2S12 solid electrolytes are investigated using multi‐electrode impedance spectroscopy and advanced analytical techniques such as XPS and ToF‐SIMS.

Heterotic string sigma models: discrete light cone quantization and its current-current deformation

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
We propose a two-dimensional superstring sigma model that defines a self-contained corner of heterotic string theory, whose second quantization is heterotic matrix string theory.

Invariant Submanifolds of Lorentzian β-Kenmotsu Manifold According to a Generalized B-Curvature Tensor

open access: yesMathematics
The purpose of this research paper is to analyze the invariant submanifolds of Lorentzian β-Kenmotsu manifolds. With respect to the generalized B-curvature tensor defined on a Lorentzian β-Kenmotsu manifold, we examine the geometry of invariant ...
