Characterization of transgenic root cultures of Trifolium repens, Trifolium pratense and Lotus corniculatus and transgenic plants of Lotus corniculatus

Plant Science, 1990
Abstract Hairy root cultures of three species of legume, Lotus corniculatus, Trifolium repens and T. pratense were established using a wild-type strain (C58C1 with pRi 15834) of Agrobacterium rhizogenes . Southern hybridization analysis confirmed that the lines were genetically transformed.

Identification of JAZ1-MYC2 Complex in Lotus corniculatus

Journal of Plant Growth Regulation, 2015
Lotus corniculatus is exposed to many forms of biotic stresses, including pathogen and herbivore attack. Jasmonates (JAs) are lipid-based signaling molecules that play important roles in mediating secondary metabolite biosynthesis and plant defense responses.

Transformation of Birds-Foot Trefoil (Lotus corniculatus)

1993
Legume-Rhizobium symbiosis leads to the de novo development of the root nodule, a highly specialized organ enabling the plant to reduce atmospheric nitrogen. Consequently, nitrogen fixation has attracted the attention of molecular biologists wishing to improve the efficiency of existing legume-bacteria interactions, and to transfer this capability to ...

ISOFLAVONE COMPOSITION OF LOTUS CORNICULATUS L. EXTRACTS

2015
Isoflavones are a class of phytoestrogens, plant-derived compounds with estrogenic activity. Numerous clinical studies claim benefits of isoflavones in chemoprevention of breast and prostate cancer, cardiovascular disease and osteoporosis, as well as in relieving postmenopausal symptoms.

ANTIOXIDANT PROPERTIES OF LOTUS CORNICULATUS L . EXTRACTS

2015
In this study, the effect of extraction conditions on antiradical and chelating activity of Lotus corniculatus L. extracts was investigated. The optimum conditions for the extraction were determined using response surface methodology (RSM). Box Behnken design was used to investigate the effects of three variables: ethanol concentration (%), temperature
