Noise and Equivalent Circuit of Double Injection [PDF]
Measurements of the high‐frequency noise of a silicon double‐injection diode result in 〈i^2〉 = α⋅4kT(1/r)Δf with α=1.04 and in agreement with the literature. A new interpretation demands Nyquist noise with α≡1 in these devices at high frequencies.

To integrate multiple transcriptomics data with severe batch effects for identifying MB subtypes, we developed a novel and accurate computational method named RaMBat, which leveraged subtype‐specific gene expression ranking information instead of absolute gene expression levels to address batch effects of diverse data sources.

Model Implementation of Lorentzian Spectra for Circuit Noise Simulations in the Frequency Domain
This work presents a new method for the Verilog-A implementation of Lorentzian noise models, in a module called VERILOR, which can automatically generate either Lorentzian or 1/f-like noise spectra depending on the trap density and gate oxide area, for ...

Induction of diabetes in three different mouse strains uniformly resulted in an increase in TNAP activity and a reduction in pyrophosphate (PPi) in the circulation. Inhibition of TNAP restored plasma PPi. Diabetes‐induced calcification in the media layer of the aorta was detected only in the Abcc6−/− strain, which is predisposed to ectopic ...

Macroscopic Resonant Tunneling in the Presence of Low Frequency Noise
We develop a theory of macroscopic resonant tunneling of flux in a double-well potential in the presence of realistic flux noise with significant low-frequency component.

The Use of Cryogenic HEMT Amplifiers in Wide Band Radiometers [PDF]
Advances in device fabrication, modelling and design techniques have made wide band, low noise cryogenic amplifiers available at frequencies up to 106 GHz. Microwave radiometry applications as used in radio astronomy capitalize on the low noise and large

We investigated the toxicity of 12 active compounds commonly found in herbal weight loss supplements (WLS) using human liver and colon cell models. Epigallocatechin‐3‐gallate was the only compound showing significant toxicity. Metabolic profiling revealed protein degradation, disrupted energy and lipid metabolism suggesting that the inclusion of EGCG ...

Amplitude noise reduction in semiconductor lasers with weak, dispersive optical feedback [PDF]
We present the theory and measurements of the amplitude noise spectrum from a semiconductor laser with weak optical feedback (Pfb/Pout ~10^-6) from an external cavity containing an element of dispersive loss.

Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐

Study and Assessment of Low Frequency Noise in Occupational Settings
Low frequency noise is one of the most harmful factors occurring in human working and living environment. Low frequency noise components from 20 to 250 Hz are often the cause of employee complaints.
