Micro-scale Modeling of Low Impact Development
Building Partnerships, 2000Low Impact Development (LID) is an innovative micro-scale runoff control strategy for WWF management issues. This technology is based on a combined strategy of conservation to reduce hydrologic impacts and the incorporation of distributed micro-scale Best Management Practices (BMP's) throughout the subcatchment.

Low Impact Development and Rainwater Harvesting
2019Under predevelopment conditions, much of rainwater stayed in the area where it fell, either recharging the underlying shallow aquifer or slowly returning to the atmosphere via evapotranspiration. Land development activities increase the imperviousness of land surfaces, decreasing infiltration and increasing runoff.
