Research on a New Structure of High-Birefringence, Low-Loss Hollow-Core Photonic Bandgap Fibre
Hollow-core microstructured optical fibres exhibit excellent properties, such as a low loss, tuneable high birefringence, and low nonlinearity, finding extensive applications across communications, industry, agriculture, medicine, military, and sensing ...

Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Holey fibers for low bend loss
Bending-loss insensitive fiber (BIF) has proved an essential medium for constructing the current fiber to the home (FTTH) network. By contrast, the progress that has been made on holey fiber (HF) technologies provides us with novel possibilities ...

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

Low-loss terahertz superconducting plasmonics
In the plasmonic regime, an electromagnetic wave bounded to the surface of a conductor can be confined to a region much smaller than its wavelength in free space.

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Progress in Mechanized Harvesting Technologies and Equipment for Minor Cereals: A Review
Minor cereals are an important part of the Chinese grain industry, accounting for about 8 percent of the country’s total grain-growing area. Minor cereals include millet, buckwheat, Panicum miliaceum, and other similar grains. Influenced by topographical
