Low Probability of Intercept Waveform Optimization Method for Sar Imaging

2021 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium IGARSS, 2021
The survivability and stability of synthetic aperture radar (SAR) in the increasingly severe electromagnetic environment are widely concerned. With the development of interception receiver technology, it is very difficult to prevent the competitor from detecting the radio frequency (RF) energy of radar.

A study on the feasibility of low probability of intercept sonar

2009 43rd Annual Conference on Information Sciences and Systems, 2009
We explore the feasibility of low probability of intercept for sonar signals. Using a noise-like active sonar signal, the transmitter (platform) employs a matched filter for echo detection while the target is assumed to use an energy detector. Decision statistic distributions are developed at both the platform and target.

Usage of Costas arrays in Low Probability of Intercept radars

2015 23nd Signal Processing and Communications Applications Conference (SIU), 2015
Low Probability of Intercept (LPI) radars are used to detect targets at low distances by means of coded signals without being intercepted by hostile elements. Frequency Shift Keying (FSK) is one of the signal types used by LPI radars. In LPI radars, the frequency sets of FSK signals, which are constructed with continuous wave, are obtained by using ...

The metrication of low probability of intercept waveforms

2010 International Waveform Diversity and Design Conference, 2010
In recent years, military radar operators have been concerned that the transmitted radar signals will beacon the presence of the radar to an enemy. If intercepted, the radar signals alert a target to an attack which could prompt evasive measures or countermeasures to be taken by the target including the possibility of a reprisal attack using an ...

The low probability of intercept radar systems with spatial feedback

IEEE EUROCON 2009, 2009
“The radar system with spatial positive feedback throw the target is considered. In this system there are self-oscillations, if the system is closed through a space of the signal radio-path and the target. When the target is absent (system is not closed), transmitter output power of the noise signal is insignificant, and that complicates detection of ...

A multicarrier CDMA based low probability of intercept network

2010 National Conference On Communications (NCC), 2010
The need for covert communication in tactical battlefields has developed the ideas of low probability of intercept (LPI) networks. Spread spectrum communication is used for LPI communication. Multicarrier CDMA is a new type of spread spectrum technique that has been developed in recent years.
