Role of Lysophosphatidylcholine (LPC) in Atherosclerosis

Current Medicinal Chemistry, 2007
Lysophosphatidylcholine (LPC) is a bioactive proinflammatory lipid generated by pathological activities. LPC is also a major phospholipid component of oxidized low-density lipoprotein (Ox-LDL) and is implicated as a critical factor in the atherogenic activity of Ox-LDL.

A sinusoidal LPC vocoder

2000 IEEE Workshop on Speech Coding. Proceedings. Meeting the Challenges of the New Millennium (Cat. No.00EX421), 2002
Twenty years of work with sinusoidal modeling of speech has lead to very competitive principles of low rate coding. In this study, we discuss a few issues in the design of a sinusoidal coding system. We stress that by a careful design of all blocks of the encoder and decoder, allowing for some additional complexity, it is possible to build a low rate ...

Vocoder par LPC

2012

A glottal LPC-vocoder

ICASSP '84. IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing, 2005
A procedure is suggested for improving LPC speech quality. The central theme is to introduce a parametric model of voiced excitation - a glottal source model. In the analysis this allows for a different method than the AR-estimation used in conventional LPC. Here, a method known as AR-X-estimation is used.
