Accurate Narrowband LPWA Ranging: Principles, Performance in AWGN and Multipath Channels [PDF]
Today approaches of radio localization for Low Power Wide Area networks do not provide sufficiently accurate ranging required by applications such as wearable health monitoring. Coherent multi-channel ranging or Phase-of-Flight (PoF) ranging provides significantly improved temporal resolution through the aggregation of sequentially transmitted ...

Low-Power Wide-Area Networks (LPWANs) are being successfully used for the monitoring of large-scale systems that are delay-tolerant and which have low-bandwidth requirements. The next step would be instrumenting these for the control of Cyber-Physical Systems (CPSs) distributed over large areas which require more bandwidth, bounded delays and higher ...

Introducing Redundancy in the Radio Planning of LPWA Networks for Internet of Things
This paper presents an enhanced methodology in order to introduce redundancy requirements in the LowPower Wide-Area (LPWA) networks radio planning for Internet-of-Things (IoT). The Jakeâs Curves were extended, allowing to compute new log-normal fading margins which traduce combined coverage and redundancy requirements.
