Design of High‐Performance MnCo1.5Cu0.5O4 Spinel Contact Material with Optimized Electrical Conductivity and Thermal Stability for Solid Oxide Electrolysis Cells by Cu Doping

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
Cu‐doped spinel MnCo1.5Cu0.5O4 exhibits excellent conductivity and stability as SOC contact material. After 1000‐h aging at 850 °C, the contact layer maintains a 10 mΩ cm2 ASR value, and a single‐cell stack achieves a H2O/CO2 co‐electrolysis power density of 0.52 W cm−2.

Selenium‐Containing Tea‐Derived Peptides Activate Alcohol Dehydrogenase and Ameliorate Alcohol‐Induced Liver Injury by Modulating Oxidative Stress Homeostasis

open access: yesFood Frontiers, EarlyView.
The graphical abstract summarizes the experimental workflow: (1) Preparation of selenium‐containing tea‐derived peptides (TSE‐PP) guided by ADH activation; (2) Purification and LC‐MS/MS identification of selenium‐modified peptides; (3) Molecular docking to reveal peptide‐ADH interactions; (4) Evaluation of hangover‐alleviating and hepatoprotective ...

Structural variation of types IV-A1- and IV-A3-mediated CRISPR interference

open access: yesNature Communications
CRISPR-Cas mediated DNA-interference typically relies on sequence-specific binding and nucleolytic degradation of foreign genetic material. Type IV-A CRISPR-Cas systems diverge from this general mechanism, using a nuclease-independent interference ...

Evaluation of Ceftriaxone as a Monotherapy and Amoxicillin With Clavulanic Acid as Combination Therapy in Surgical Prophylaxis

open access: yesiNew Medicine, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Surgical antibiotic prophylaxis (SAP) is crucial in preventing postoperative surgical site infections (SSIs), especially in clean and clean‐contaminated surgeries. It was a prospective comparative observational study that compared the effectiveness and safety of single‐dose ceftriaxone monotherapy with amoxicillin–clavulanic acid as a ...

Correlating surface cation composition and thin film microstructure with the electrochemical performance of lanthanum strontium cobaltite (LSC) electrodes

open access: yes, 2014
La0.6Sr0.4CoO3−δ thin films of varying thicknesses (20–170 nm) were prepared by pulsed laser deposition on yttria-stabilized zirconia (100) substrates, and their electrochemical electrode performance was correlated with the chemical surface composition ...

Growing Together, Thinking Apart: Shared Meaning, Dialectical Thinking, and Family Well‐Being Across Generations

open access: yesJournal of Adolescence, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Adolescence is a period when families must balance emotional connection with growing autonomy. How family functioning supports well‐being during this transition remains unclear, particularly in cultural contexts that value harmony amid difference.

Proteomic profiling identifies distinct protein patterns in acute myelogenous leukemia CD34+CD38- stem-like cells.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2013
Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is believed to arise from leukemic stem-like cells (LSC) making understanding the biological differences between LSC and normal stem cells (HSC) or common myeloid progenitors (CMP) crucial to understanding AML biology.
