Discovery Of A Magnetic Field In The Rapidly Rotating O-Type Secondary Of The Colliding-Wind Binary HD 47129 (Plaskett\u27s Star) [PDF]
We report the detection of a strong, organized magnetic field in the secondary component of the massive O8III/I+O7.5V/III double-lined spectroscopic binary system HD 47129 (Plaskett\u27s star) in the context of the Magnetism in Massive Stars survey ...

Combined self‐report and hair analysis in festival attendees (n = 249) revealed substantial discrepancies in drug use reporting, particularly for stimulants and dissociatives. This integrated approach enhances detection of poly‐drug use and provides a more reliable basis for monitoring and harm‐reduction strategies.

GSLAM: Initialization-robust Monocular Visual SLAM via Global Structure-from-Motion
Many monocular visual SLAM algorithms are derived from incremental structure-from-motion (SfM) methods. This work proposes a novel monocular SLAM method which integrates recent advances made in global SfM. In particular, we present two main contributions

Bulk behaviour of skew-symmetric patterned random matrices [PDF]
Limiting Spectral Distributions (LSD) of real symmetric patterned matrices have been well-studied. In this article, we consider skew-symmetric/anti-symmetric patterned random matrices and establish the LSDs of several common matrices.

High-energy emission from the pulsar striped wind: a synchrotron model for gamma-ray pulsars
(abridged) Gamma-ray pulsars constitute a class of high and very high-energy emitters for which the known population is steadily increasing thanks to the Fermi/Large Area Telescope.

Inherited metabolic epilepsies–established diseases, new approaches
Abstract Inherited metabolic epilepsies (IMEs) represent the inherited metabolic disorders (IMDs) in which epilepsy is a prevailing component, often determining other neurodevelopmental outcomes associated with the disorder. The different metabolic pathways affected by individual IMEs are the basis of their rarity and heterogeneity.

Evaluating the Efficacy of Organic Approved Fungicides for the Control of Powdery Mildew in Squash [PDF]
Powdery mildew grows well in environments with high humidity and moderate temperatures and can be problematic on crops in the Northeast. Cucurbit crops face powdery mildew and often downy mildew on a yearly basis and significant yields losses have been ...
