MOF‐Derived Superaerophobic Ni‐CoOOH Nanosheet Anchored on Stretched Carbon via In Situ Morphology Reconstruction for Durable Oxygen Evolution

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
This study constructed an in situ superhydrophobic OER catalyst with excellent activity and durability. Ni‐Co expansion induced tensile strain, converting the polyhedral framework into vertical nanosheets that enhance intrinsic activity and bubble detachment.

Thin Film Lubrication, Lubricants and Additives

2020
Friction will be generated when two solid bodies are pressed over or slide against each other, and it acts opposite to the direction of relative motion. Lubricants are frequently used to reduce friction which otherwise may result in high machine wear and energy losses.

Ionic Liquids as Lubricants or Lubricant Additives

2017
Abstract This article introduces the structure, tribological properties, advantages, and applications of ionic liquids (ILs) as lubricating media. It discusses the mechanisms of IL lubrication for different contacts. The advances in studies focusing on tribological properties of a wide range of ILs are reviewed.

Additive‐additive and additive‐surface interactions in lubrication

Lubrication Science, 1989
AbstractCombinations of additives are often found to exhibit antagonistic or synergistic effects compared to the performance of the individual additives. This paper reviews the state of knowledge concerning such effects. Direct interactions, where two additives combine at a molecular level, are distinguished from complementary or exclusary effects ...
