Effect of lubricant extreme-pressure additives on surface fatigue life of AISI 9310 spur gears [PDF]
Surface fatigue tests were conducted with AISI 9310 spur gears using a formulated synthetic tetraester oil (conforming to MIL-L-23699 specifications) as the lubricant containing either sulfur or phosphorus as the EP additive.

In Situ 3D Bioprinting: Impact of Cross‐Linking on the Adhesive Properties of Hydrogels
In situ 3D bioprinting enables the direct deposition of cell‐laden, adhesive biomaterials for on‐site tissue regeneration. This review provides a comprehensive overview of how cross‐linking influences the bioadhesive properties of hydrogels used in 3D bioprinting, highlighting cross‐linking triggers, bioadhesion mechanisms, polymer interpenetration ...

Evaluation of advanced lubricants for aircraft applications using gear surface fatigue tests [PDF]
Surface pitting fatigue life tests were conducted with five lubricants, using spur gears made from a single lot of consumable-electrode vacuum melted (CVM) AISI 9310 steel. The gears were case carbonized and hardened to a Rockwell c-60 and finish ground.

Effect of surface roughness on friction behaviour of steel under boundary lubrication [PDF]
The friction behaviour of grinded and polished surfaces was evaluated by using a reciprocal sliding tester under lubrication with PAO, PAO + ZnDTP and PAO + ZnDTP + MoDTC.

We report a polymer‐chain insertion strategy to fabricate pore‐threaded MOF thin films with precisely tuned surface chemistry and wettability. Grafting n‐alkane chains into the pillared layer Cu2(bdc)2(dabco) MOF thin film's vertical nanochannels enhances water stability, and induces hydrophobicity and lubricant‐free, solid‐like slippery behavior ...

Quantitative Structure-Activity Relationship Study of Fatty Acid Derivatives as Lubricant Additive
Fatty acid compounds and their derivatives have been known in tribology as a source of bio-lubricant raw materials. New compounds were developed computationally to sort out the physical properties of the desired lubricant additive before synthesis in the

Parallel 3D Bioprinting on SLIPS‐Microarrays
This work introduces the first truly parallel 3D bioprinting method, enabling both the simultaneous fabrication of hundreds of cell laden hydrogel 3D structures and their HTS in individual liquid compartments. By integrating Digital Light Processing (DLP) stereolithography with functional micropatterns, the platform decouples printing time from array ...

A hydrogel with dynamic cross‐links was formed by cross‐linking hyaluronic acid with curcumin‐preloaded, phenylboronic acid‐modified poly(amidoamine) dendrimers. This hydrogel exhibited excellent injectability and self‐healing ability, enabling controlled Cur release in response to low pH, high reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation, or mechanical ...

Moringa Oil and Carbon Phases of Different Shapes as Additives for Lubrication
Vegetable oils in the lubricant field are largely studied. Their efficiency depends on their viscosity parameters and their fatty acid composition. The actions of moringa oil used as a lubricant base and as a lubricant additive have been shown in this ...

Synthetic lubricants and lubricating oil additives.
