ABSTRACT Accurately knowing the frontier orbital energies of the structurally disordered small‐molecule organic semiconductors that are used in optoelectronic devices such as organic light‐emitting diodes is required to rationally improve their performance. Here, we show that these energies can be deduced with a large accuracy from the peak energies of

Second-order linear recurrences with identically distributed residues modulo pᵉ [PDF]
Let p be an odd prime and let u(a,-1) and u(a',-1) be two Lucas sequences whose discriminants have the same nonzero quadratic character modulo p and whose periods modulo p are equal.

On the solutions of the equation p=x^2+y^2+1 in Lucas sequences
In 1970, Motohashi proved that there are an infinite number of primes having the form p=x^2+y^2+1 for some nonzero integers x and y. In this paper, we present a technique for studying the solutions of the equation p=x^2+y^2+1, where the unknowns are ...

Lucas non-Wieferich primes in arithmetic progressions and the abc conjecture
We prove the lower bound for the number of Lucas non-Wieferich primes in arithmetic progressions. More precisely, for any given integer k≥2k\ge 2, there are ≫logx\gg \hspace{0.25em}\log x Lucas non-Wieferich primes p≤xp\le x such that p≡±1(modk)p\equiv ...

Graphene‐Based Wearable Textile Triboelectric Nanogenerators and Biomechanical Sensors
This study presents a wearable textile‐based triboelectric nanogenerator (T‐TENG) using sprayed graphene enhanced with a PVA adhesion layer. The graphene‐based electrode demonstrates high electrical conductivity and robustness to multiple bends. The fabricated T‐TENG provides stable and efficient output, with strong responsiveness to biomotion.

Mersenne Primes in Certain Lucas Sequences [PDF]
Prime numbers are the most important numbers in number theory and cryptography. One of such special primes are given by the set of Mersenne primes, that are derived from the form Mn = 2n − 1, where n is a prime number.

A method for computing Lucas sequences
Most of public-key cryptosystems rely on one-way functions, which can be used to encrypt and sign messages. Their encryption and signature operations are based on the computation of exponentiation. Recently, some public-key cryptosystems are proposed and

THE SQUARE TERMS IN GENERALIZED LUCAS SEQUENCES
Summary: Let \(P\) and \(Q\) be non-zero integers. The generalized Fibonacci sequence \(\{U_n\} \) and Lucas sequence \(\{V_n\}\) are defined by \(U_0 = 0\), \(U_1 = 1\) and \(U_{n+1} = PU_n + QU_{n-1}\) for \(n\geq 1\) and \(V_0 = 2\), \(V_1 = P\) and \(V_{n+1} = PV_n + QV_{n-1} \) for \(n\geq 1\), respectively.
