The phytochemical screening conducted on ethanol extract of Luffa acutangula (L.) Roxb's fruit revealed the presence of alkaloids, saponins, carotenoids and terpenoids and the absence of flavonoids, tannins and anthraquinones. The GC-MS of the analysis L. acutangula (L.) Roxb's fraction resulted in the identification of six compounds.
